Open source Flash 3D engine Away 3D has just received an update to version 2.3.

As always, they have a bunch of snazzy demos to demonstrate then engine's abilites. Check them out:

•  Frustrum Hotel Room shows off Away3D's clipping and texture reproduction.
•  Normal Mapped Heads and Normal Mapped Asteroid demonstrate the ability to use normamaps to add more visual complexity to a model without increasing it's polygon count.
•  BesierPatch demonstrates a useful new addition to Away3D's powerful geomety creation tools.
